ABOUT ME
At an early age an aspiration of mine had always been to travel the world and write down the advetures that would unfold. When I was young I saw people fall in love. I looked through the small cracks of my hands and saw a world unseen. Beneath the foul trenches of everyday life I saw beauty that spouted from my own lips; I knew from an early age that I could write. I went to college at Plymouth State University, where I became passionate and zealous about writing. I loved the creative writing workshops, where ideas came to life, and everyone shared the same overwhelming passion to create anything that made you feel, that made you think. In my senior year of college, I got to experience studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain for a semester. It was there that I found myself. I found a city that pumped life into its veins by the music and people I met. I saw a whole new culture that thrived and experienced life in such a different way than we do here in the U.S.; I fell in love with Barcelona.
Writing drives me to get up every day. It motivates me in a way that nothing else in my life does. What sets me apart from other aspiring writers is my drive. In every aspect of my life, especially writing, I put all my effort into creating something that I’m proud of. I am a reliable, hard working young woman trying to make my dream a reality. The skills I’ve acquired as a writer helps me to continue to thrive and do my best every day.
When someone reads what I write I want the reader to be able to see what I’m seeing, smell what I’m tasting, and hear what I’m listening to. I love trying to convey imagery while capturing the poetry of the moment.
I currently am the Assistant Editor at Scene Magazine where I write anything from travel pieces to features on beauty and fashion.
